The annual meeting of shareholders of The Colonial BancGroup, Inc. will be held on April 16, 2008, at
10 a.m. CT, at the corporate campus.
Colonial BancGroup’s common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CNB.
Owners of Colonial BancGroup common stock may participate in the Dividend Reinvestment and Common Stock Purchase Plan. Dividends are reinvested and additional shares purchased at 100% of the market price average, determined as provided in the plan.
In January 2008, the Board of Directors approved an increase in the quarterly dividend to $0.19 per share. Dividends have been paid every year since the company was founded in 1981. The annual dividend rate has increased every year since 1990.
